May, June 2010 – Removal of blackberries on west side by FTCW. Clearing around alders and willow.
September 2010 – Removal of 61 Golden Willow trees and 2 English Hawthorne by Davey Trees Service, Sara Stallard, QEP. Saanich parks.
October, November 2010 – Clean up of willow twigs and blackberry sprouts by FTCW. Saanich Parks staff plant natives in riparian area of west side.
November 2010 – October 2011 – A year of pulling blackberry crowns and other invasives mostly from the east side.
Grant from Fido-Evergreen enables development of a planting plan and purchase of native plants. Plan developed by Marian McCoy.
