These are quick entries, plant ID to follow. As in previous years, the Site [there are 8 around the lake] and depth [2 metres, 4 m and 6 m] are noted. Some sites we get no plants [along Echo & Stevens side of the lake, where there is less housing density]; and some sites are too thick with plants for us to safely maneuver to.
Here we see shoots coming off this plant.
We left from Site 6 [East Lake Rd], in pea soup fog, at 08:30. We were greeted by two kayakers.
Still foggy, but the sun was breaking through, just as we were approaching the island.
And looking toward Prospect Lake Road [Estelline access is to the left], we can see the cranes, which is why PL Rd is closed for a while.
How thick the aquatic plants are in some places.
East Lake Park is nestled between.
